Frequently asked questions

Directing

What exactly do you do as a director:
write the script or manage the whole production?

The whole production.

I take responsibility for the concept, dramaturgy, script and audience engagement, the selection and coordination of actors and performers, rehearsals and live direction on the night.

Does immersive theatre always involve assigned roles?
What if guests feel shy?

Assigned roles are optional.

  • I create gentle opportunities to engage: those who want to can take a more active part, while those who prefer to watch remain comfortable as spectators.
  • No one should feel pressured or awkward. That is a core principle.
What immersive formats are available
for businesses and private events?
  • For businesses: story-led corporate events, team building, bespoke brand projects, quizzes and communication games.
  • For private events: intimate stories for anniversaries, family New Year celebrations, a personal legend or an evening of adventure.
  • The scale is flexible, from an intimate gathering to a large event.
How far ahead should I book?
  • The earlier the better, especially for peak dates in December.
  • I can sometimes take on projects at short notice, depending on availability and the complexity of the programme.
What determines the fee?
  • The scale and complexity of the production: number of actors, duration, venue and movement between spaces, props, design, integrations and technical production.
  • After a short brief, I provide a price range and suggest two or three concepts suited to your budget and objectives.

Hosting

Will there be improvisation?
I do not want an amateur performance.
  • Yes, as a professional tool.
  • The script, structure and schedule come first. Improvisation helps me respond to the room, pick up on moments and maintain the atmosphere without losing control or running over time.
We have a formal or high-profile audience.
Is that your style?
  • Yes. I adapt the tone, humour and level of interaction to the occasion, from formal and distinguished to more relaxed, always appropriately.
  • Hosting means holding the room and its atmosphere, rather than simply delivering lines.
What happens if something goes wrong:
delays, changes or unforeseen circumstances?

That is part of live events. I keep the script flexible, rearrange segments, bridge pauses, maintain the pace and bring the event back on track. This is where professional improvisation matters, within the agreed schedule.

Can we avoid activities and bringing guests on stage?

Of course.

I tailor the format to the audience: more substance, atmosphere and smooth transitions, without forced participation. If you would like interaction, it will be gentle and voluntary.

What does your preparation as a host include?

A brief and agreed objectives; the evening's running order and timing, including speeches, awards and interactive segments; an agreed tone; and coordination with sound, screen and venue teams.

Bank and partners: 300 guests

An interactive lecture replaced a conventional corporate party, bringing two professional groups together in one evening. The format was repeated three times at the audience's request.

Format:

  • A corporate event for a bank and its key partners.
  • A theatrical interactive lecture inspired by Paul Ekman's work.

Objectives:

  • Bring two professional groups together quickly and ease the initial tension.
  • Encourage conversation while respecting status and protocol.

What I did:

  • Created mixed teams and designed how they would interact.
  • Improvised around shared values: trust, openness and humour.
  • Hosted the event so that conversation became lively and informal without descending into chaos.

Results:

  • More open communication between employees and invited partners.
  • The event was repeated three times for different departments of the bank.
New Year for RBC and 10 regions: 100 guests — photo 1

New Year for RBC and 10 regions: 100 guests

An interactive video link brought the room and 10 regions together in a single live event. The programme was extended by 60 minutes.

Format:

  • A New Year quiz built around communication.
  • A Moscow office connected to 10 regions by video link.
  • Bring in-person and remote participants together at the same pace.
  • Lighten the atmosphere after a difficult period at the end of the year.

What I did:

  • Designed communication challenges that engaged people with different personalities.
  • Hosted the game so that regional teams played on equal terms with the room rather than just watching a broadcast.
  • Maintained energy and a precise rhythm without awkward pauses.
  • Managed controlled chaos: freedom within the boundaries of corporate culture.

Results:

  • Even the organisers and the most cautious guests joined the game.
  • Participants asked to extend the programme by 60 minutes.
  • Feedback: We could do with a weekly team meeting like this!

  • Ran rehearsals and shaped how performers used the space and interacted with visitors.

Results:

  • The space was described as one of the exhibition's highlights.
  • The project operated reliably for more than six months.
  • Consistent on-site processes, discipline and performance quality.

An immersive celebration inspired by a favourite film, with shooting organised on the night and a finished film by morning. The evening's emotions became a story of their own.

Format:

  • An immersive show inspired by The Irony of Fate.
  • Filming and editing in parallel.
  • The family film premiered the next morning.

Objectives:

  • Create a celebration with real involvement, rather than just an entertainment programme.
  • Make a film the family could keep as a memory.

What I did:

  • Designed ways to enter and leave the story so that guests always knew where they were.
  • Assigned roles and prepared script prompts for the participants.
  • Organised filming and editing in real time.

Results:

  • The celebration became a unique experience that guests wanted to repeat.
  • The client returned to request similar evenings inspired by other films.

A fairy-tale lecture for the Russian Geographical Society

Part of The Most Beautiful Country festival.

Format:

  • An original lecture-performance: ideas, humour and a connection with the audience.

Objectives:

  • Present Russian fairy tales as a living system of meaning rather than a textbook subject.
  • Hold a diverse audience's attention with depth and an accessible delivery.

What I did:

  • Wrote the script and structured the lecture as a performance.
  • Researched archetypes, mythic motifs and parallels with Jung and culture.
  • Built a clear rhythm with key ideas, audience interaction and humour.

Results:

  • The organisers requested a repeat of the programme.
  • A complex subject became accessible and engaging for a broad audience.
The TV show Extreme Cuisine — photo 1

The TV show Extreme Cuisine

Co-creator and presenter of a cooking show, filming up to 10 episodes a day.

Format:

  • The presenter holds viewers' attention throughout a 40-minute programme on her own.

Objectives:

  • Develop and launch an original kitchen-based format.
  • Film as many programmes as possible within a tight schedule without sacrificing quality.

What I did:

  • Helped create the concept and programme structure.
  • Maintained the pace and mood of each episode, keeping up the energy and responding freshly throughout long filming days.
  • Improvised within the script so that conversations and situations felt natural rather than staged.

Results:

  • The successfully launched show is still running.
  • The project received an international award in Berlin.
  • This experience helps me confidently host long live events and hold an audience's attention.

Afterhalloween: from actress to director

Several seasons in different roles: actress, host, assistant director, second director, casting and production director.

Format:

  • A large-scale immersive ball and performance: guests move through the space, meet actors and take part in interactive, musical and visual performances.
  • Each season brings a new theme, dramaturgy and way of drawing guests into the story.

Objectives:

  • Create a coherent immersive experience in which the space itself becomes a stage.
  • Encourage guests to take an interested, active part rather than simply observe.
  • Shape a performance that feels like a complete story, rather than a collection of separate acts.

What I did:

  • Helped build scenes, transitions, pacing and interactions between actors and guests.
  • Cast actors and assigned roles to suit the needs of each season.
  • For The Master and Margarita: Ball of Shadows, I developed the concept for one floor and its thematic sections: the media industry, the manipulation of attention and the distortion of meaning and narratives.
  • Developed a visual language: vivid variety theatre, red carpets, 1960s aesthetics and a gothic touch in the details.
  • Combined direction, actor interaction and hosting to give guests a sense of genuine live contact.

Results:

  • My role within the project grew from performing to directing.
  • A complex immersive format became a coherent whole: actors, guests, routes, visual style and pacing worked together.
  • Guests experienced a rich immersion in a world of atmosphere, play and live interaction, rather than a series of unrelated activities.

Sensorium and music on vinyl

For The Case legal community

Format:

  • A sensory performance: a meditative immersion in music, with effects that heighten its perception.

Objectives:

  • Create a multidimensional experience that offers new ways of feeling music, beyond a listening session.
  • Bring sound, sensory elements and effects together into a coherent, safe experience.

What I did:

  • Prepared the production for its premiere, breaking the idea down into actions, timings and transitions.
  • Ran rehearsals with musicians, performers and the production team.
  • Coordinated sound and vinyl playback, taking their particular requirements into account.
  • Synchronised effects such as rain and scents with the music, making everything feel like one continuous experience.
  • As director, brought all the elements together into a single performance on premiere day.

Results:

  • A coherent sensory experience: guests truly immersed themselves in the atmosphere and found the format meditative and highly unusual.

An adventure-performance for children and adults.

What I did:

  • Explored the venue and placed the action across its different areas so that the space supported the story.
  • Wrote the birthday adventure: challenges, transitions and a finale. Selected the cast.
  • Directed the journey through the story, its pace, focal points and interactions, to engage guests naturally.

Results:

  • An immersive birthday whose story holds attention and makes full use of the setting.
  • The children were delighted, and the adults were very happy with the format and organisation too.
